Hi guys. For now this will be restricted to elder members of Canadian Club to discuss the creation of an elite-level clan.
Tentative plan:
name: Canadian Club Elite
entry restriction: 1800 trophies and achieved level 75
We will need to discuss leadership positions for both clans, CC and CCE. Elder status, as well. Does CCE even need elders? My buddy, Mike, is the founder and Leader of CC. If he could relinquish this position he probably would. If that's not possible, it will continue to run with an elder executive. This has worked well so far.
Let's throw a bunch of ideas around and see what we can come up with!

And adam i know tasha wont play if i leave so if it wouldnt have a problem running the CC i really like this plan tho for a CCE alot of the bigger clan like bonobo canada run with a flag ship clan

Ok, Alex. As the next most senior member I think you're a great candidate to run the farm team. Other elders are certainly welcome to remain at CC for farming or any other reason (like your significant other).

Thats perfect with me! Are we looking to make these clans come and go, like you can leave CCE at any point and rejoin CC and vice versa? And are we going to allow people who earn clan elder of CC into CCE, or are we just going by trophy count? And i guess a good part of me running it is that you and i can keep in close contact on fb  with updates and what not |

Good idea creating this forum Adam this will help out big time.
I'm in favor of creating another clan for the higher level players. I think doing this will push people to be better and will help to attract higher level players. I think the new clan should have elders and run just like the system we have now. We all have different schedules and when people want to join a clan they don't wait long for an invite because there are so many different clans to choose from, so the more elders we have on that are able to invite at any given moment the better. I like the idea of assigning an active leader for the original CC if possible. I think every team needs a leader and people generally want a leader so they can ask questions ect. I know I originally mentioned level 75 for min requirements but after some thought this may be a little high,maybe lvl 60 required and 1800 trophies?

Reporting in. Lots of change proposed. I'm fine with the majorities decision. Question, how would the two clans stay linked up? We would probably have to be a little less picky about who is accepted into cc to keep/get enough members.

Hey erin, when it come to keeping the clans linked up we will have the forums here, but also me and hobo are cousins so we are in contact if any pressing issues arise. And for the CC i think the trophies should be set for 1250 and relatively selective because some of the people joining CC will eventually move onto the elite, if we were to start now i think theres 17 elders so if all were to leave there is still a substantial amount of people remaining. And kreg i like that 60 nd 1800, seems fair to me

Alex - yes, moving back and forth would be a function of trophy count. A member wishing to 'change levels' would simply msg the appropriate leader on this forum, quit the clan they are moving from and request to join the other.
Erin - like Alex says, but also that is where this forum will come in handy.
Trophy level for the two clans.... I'm happy with the 1800 originally suggested by Kreger. It's not a difficult count to reach but should provide a decent challenge for newer members to shoot for. This is flexible, of course, as needs dictate.
For CC, I don't know that we need any minimum. Alex suggested 1250 but that number is significantly higher than many of our recent joiners. As a recruiting tool we will get all kinds, and many might not yet be serious about the game, but I think we should give everyone a shot.
I have a couple of other points to consider:
Should we restrict it so members of CCE come only from CC or will we accept any player with 1800 trophies? I don't have a strong opinion on this but I remember Kreger came along with about that many so wouldn't want to restrict someone to the junior ranks if it means losing them.
Leaders. I haven't checked it out yet, but I imagine that Leader is a fixed position. So, whoever decides to take on this role at CCE will likely have to remain there. Alex and his elders at CC have an advantage as Mike is persona non grata. They can act as an elder council like before and still move freely to and from CCE. The disadvantage to this system is it requires me to email Mike if we need an elder demoted or want to change Clan msg, min trophies etc. Not a biggie, I guess.
Elders at CCE. Should everyone be an elder? Whether we all are or we all aren't we are all equal. Kreger correctly points out that we don't want to miss a recruiting opportunity by not having enough elders. I submit this is probably not a huge issue. An elite player who wants in will likely wait, and we have this forum to coordinate transfers. I think it would be cool if CCE is ABOVE the elder system. Or everyone is elder. Either way.

Update: According to a COC wiki I found the Leader position is transferable. I've asked Mike if he'll hand it over to me and if he agrees that will let us get the ball rollong. I'll transfer CC to Alex and create CCE.
For the startup I can lead CCE but I would be happy handing it off to Kreger or any of you in the future. Maybe that can be a function of trophy count; when an incumbent Leader takes a break or drops down, the CCE member with the most trophies becomes leader next.
We can get started once I hear back from Mike.

Hey Adam, I was given leader of my old clan and u can just assign it to someone else, very simple. Good to pick someone who plays lots and intends to stay active for the long term if only for administration purposes.

I like the idea of Alex being CC leader and Hoboken being CCE leader. If one or the other needs to pass leader off at any time I wouldn't want to see leadership going to just the highest trophy count person, I think it would be more important that it go to a current elder that has proven to be loyal to our current clan. I believe the CC Reserve name would kind of fit more with the lower level clan rather than the higher level one but I like that we're thinking of different names as well. I think the new clan should consider any Canadian players with the 1800 trophy count and level requirement, if we stick to only the progressing CC members I believe it would be a very slow process to build up a decent amount of players. I think that elders being assigned should run pretty much the same as we do with the current clan, I also think the new clans message should say something about not asking for elder and that's its earned(i'm sick of having people asking how and when they can get elder). The thing that attracted me to CC was the message "Canadian and proud of it!" are we going to be a Canadian player only clan? I think we currently have some members that are not Canadian correct? What do you guys think the new message should say? What do you guys think about opening this chat up to the whole clan? I don't want our current members to start to feel like they are being left out and their voice isn't being heard.
