Your correct Adam, Im sure.. i don't think cc troops caused the entire loss. defense is your biggest advantage !! You must have a strong defense. Thats how they win stars isnt it  By defeating our bases..yes |

Mmmmmm. Zach.. I just figured out my problem with cc troops...lol. I just cant do it.. Im a pure trophy hunter. Been that way since I started the game. I still pick my victims the same way. According to what I need. So easy to find them if you search enough. Very very few players keep cc troops inside or it seems the ones I pick almost never have them. Idk. Weird. I CANT BEAT THEM when I try.. Grrrrrrrrrrr I just raided, like many many times and had 2 with cc troops. Thats why I never learned. The last trophy push we had, pffffttt Theres no way that I ran into very many cc's with troops in them because those little archers destroy my balloons quick.

Try using a couple of archers on the perimeter buildings to occupy the towers, and send a wb in between them at the wall on the closest side to the CC. This should usually get the breaker close enough to trigger the CC troops. Then draw them far away with more archers or minions, or use a lightning spell if you think they are all out of the CC.

Its a tricky situation for me using balloons and minions. My last war clan attack I had to throw my archer queen at them and a witch so that I knew I had enough balloons and minions to finish my attack. if not I have seen where ive went through half my minions killing them and losing out on stars. Although I do need to practice maybe lightening but then it messes with my normal strategy of 2 rage and 2 heal spells. I just always threw the king or queen out hoped for the best that they survived to take out more buildings.. Idk. Seems like a waste, but its what Ive done to ensure that I have had all my troops for the real battle.

I'll see if I can find a replay for you Kim. Often times I won't be able to lure out the cc troops with just a minion, so sacrificing a few balloons may be the only way. Also, it may just be my personal preference (or I just suck at it) but I don't like using heal spells with balloons. They get 3 shot'd by lvl 7 air defenses anyways, that's why I don't usually carry heal spells. Instead I bring 3 lightning and 1 rage. 3 lightning can take out lvl 7 air defenses and if they are positioned next to wiz towers, well there goes two threats. An important note is that I don't just spam the lightning spells on the air def right away. First I scout the cc and then try my best to lure them to the air def I want to blow up (not actually that hard just spawn a minion across the map), then drop the lightning spells one at a time to ensure I get each and every one of those troops. Then lay waste with the balloons.
PS: Apparently my brother, Thomas, said that this troop composition is called "The Toilet Flush"? Not sure if he made it up or not haha.

Hahaha Thomas is your brother!!! He is a hoot. The toilet flush, I can see him saying that as well. Ive missed seeing him lately online. He always made me laugh. Did he tell you why I have my dog picture up now.. Bahahaaa. That was another funny ccb moment !!!!
As far as balloons , I can only carry 25 to 30 depending on what other troops I have with them. Any less than 25 makes it almost impossible for me to 3 star a base. Now if I stick with 30, I do have the option of giving up a few.
I guess the one good thing about clan wars is that you have plenty of time to plot your maneuvers . Hahahaaa. Ive stayed away from level 7 air defenses because of that issue with them wiping out my balloons,lol. I need to up my strategy level and start working on new and improved ways to fight these higher level players.
I haven't had time, been kind of just resource shopping for so long now. I was working on a golem, giant, witch strat a few times. Im beginning to really like the witches. Especially on the inferno towers, seems they hold up the best. Idk.
But mike, I ❤️my balloons but I don't think there is a way that I can get past my previous trophy record with TH 9. I need the bigger camps. Unless the upgrading of my cc will help me and load her up with either your balloons or minions.

Well said Arielle, The reason I avoided second war was I knew I goofed and my missed stars could have won it for us, I felt bad for days and would have been really shattered if you had not patted me on back for trying and for my good defensive base, there is a good way to give feedback and a bad way. The good way is to help others is to improve what skills they lack not criticize them......we can all learn tolerance

For those who kept urging me to upgrade my cc before the latest update, I lucked out the upgrade is only 5 mil gold now. I believe before was 7 mil!

Hey mikey!!! Ruth and I were talking earlier about TH 10 being able to up grade troops more. We only noticed how crazy scary and awesome they were from our clan war at ccb. Almost all the cc were full of red eyed drags and these wizards that just wiped out our troops quick. I give the guys bunches and bunches of credit for their great job in out playing them even if we lost by a few stars. My point is ruthie is upgrading her dragoons!!! For us to try, 2 weeks cooking!! So so sweet of her to do this!!! Wondering if you could heist enough elixir to get us some wizards.  ) for our cc. I know I know its asking a lot but it would maybe help the weaker defensive players and save us a star!! Until they can get upgraded or find better base configurations. Defense!!!! I believe defense saves our buttes first!!! If they cant star our base we only need one to stay ahead!!! If they one star our base we only need 2 to stay ahead!!! We need to work on helping some of the players get good solid bases going on and good cc troops inside. |

Not asking a lot Kim, I was planning on upgrading them wiz to lvl 6 for awhile now but got distracted and upgraded my 2 army camps haha. 7.5 mil elixir shouldn't take too long if I go with hog raids. Since it uses close to 0 elixir!
