Hey guys! I just thought it might be an interesting way to learn more about each other if we talked about our hobbies. Everyone likes to tell people about stuff they like to do and answer questions about it, so why not do it here too? One of my biggest hobbies is music production. Although I'm still very inexperienced, I like to think my songs aren't too horrible haha. You can see all my stuff over at my SoundCloud, linked in my sig. All EDM, my stuff is heavily influenced by Tech House, Drum and Bass, UK Bass/Garage, and *real* Dubstep (no, not Skrillex. Check out DMZ and Skream. Wow!! That was awesome music Sal !! Musical talent was always something I wish I had. I enjoy it so much yet have no vocal, no instrumental or creative talent. Drives me mad... I'd be happy if I could even karaoke without embarrassment. LOL.

Thanks :) If you're interested, I recommend downloading a free demo version of any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and giving it a try. Once you figure out how to use the program, its very easy to make something simple, and very fun too! I'm a hockey guy, talk anything hockey and we can go on for days. I wish I had joined a team when I was younger! I don't really watch games, but I play floor hockey with some friends every week or two. Almost all of us are horrible but its still a lot of fun haha. |

Haha Tom, I play floor hockey too. Never had the chance to learn to skate when I was younger and my sense of balance never developed as I grew up lol. And hockey is all about fun, as long as you're having fun then its great. I also played in a competitive league but then dislocated my knee twice and my girlfrend banned me from playing. Wish I could still play!

Wish I could still play! Aw man, that sucks! I agree about the having fun. I've never been an extremely competitive person, so even getting my ass kicked in a good game is still fun haha. Anyways, adding more of my own hobby to the thread, my new track is nearing "completion" and an unmastered version of the full song may get posted soon. Unless, of course, I decide to change some things. Aaaannnd I'm strongly considering making a Dubstep mix soon. Something like an hour long set that I can throw at people who mislabel other genres as Dubstep haha. The only problem with this is I'm a horrible DJ, so I'm unsure if I'll actually be able to do that haha. |

Once spring gets here, I'll be out in my garden with 3 dogs. I love planting seed and watching them grow in yummy food or beautiful flower and fabulous herbs for my second big hobbie .....cooking.. And of course COC in my hammock out under the pine trees in my yard....yea I can't wait to start a new cycle.

Ok, the hobbies.
Snowboarding/skiing all my life, SCUBA diving for years. More recently, training and racing triathlon at all distances including one Ironman. Fun stuff.
Now, all that is out the window with 3 kids. My hobbies now consist of picking up toys, changing poopy diapers and sometimes catching barf with my bare hands. Even funner, to be honest, though I look forward to getting back into my earlier hobbies as my kids get old enough.
For the future, I dream of doing some serious sailing. Blue water stuff. I have some experience but am basically a noob. Will try to coax my reluctant S.O. to get on board but she says it's never gonna happen. She also said she'd never ride on the back of my motorcycle and somehow that worked out. Oh yeah, I like motorcycles.

Ok OK.. here's a few of My hobbies, and there have been many more through out the years. I GO full throttle into something until I find another to amuse me. Horses, top of the list. Never tired of them. Timed events, cross country, week long trail rides, and my all time favorite was team roping events. Now I just do trail rides thru the country, horses are getting older like me  My camp in Ohio, its like a resort golfing, swimming pools, private fishing lake, live entertainment weekly. And yes I do all of it plus more. I have my motorcycle license,just sold my second bike and bought a scooter for my camp. Loads of fun!! Quad riding, Growing herbs and flowers from seeds ( had my whole house filled one year with flowers before March) Basil and morning glories were my favs!, home projects, always remodeling and yes I am pretty darn good with a skil saw. I want to move to Florida at some point. Its just the place for me. Fun, entertainment, sunny, warm and water water water. However, Im planning on moving to ohio first , that is to be my summer home. My best friends are 2 men that help take care of my horses, the farm and my father. I'm very fortunate to have them in my life, they get along with each other just for my benefit. Adopted brothers  Dating , did that for many years..lol Not my cup o tea.anymore, But I would say it was a hobby at one time. Bahahahaaa. Hanging out with my good friends, card games, intelligent conversation and laughs are at the top of my list now a days!! |
