This thread will talk about our favourite troop combination! I will be giving advice on the best troop combinations and how to use them as far as a strategy goes. This will also talk about elixer and dark elixer costs and how to easily save up for those expensive upgrades!

My troop levels (for the upcoming push)
Troop Level Dark trps Level
Barb: 6 Minion: 3
Arch: 6 hogs: 3
Giant: 6
Balloon: 5 Valk: 1
Wiz: 5 Gol: 1
Witch: 1
Heal: 3
Drag: 3
I normally keep
30-50 barbs
75-100 archers
8- 12 giants
4-6 WB
and about
6 hogs. Depending on if I'm trying anything new or not
I cook up dragons on down time.

Ok, first question for you Mr. zach. When requesting troops before signing off, which ones are best for defense? And are giants better than archers and barbs for that?

Archers and wizds are the best because they can hind behind walls! Witches are good too

For the push I will be using roughly 32 lvl 5 hogs, 10 lvl 5 wiz and 20 lvl 6 archers.
Archers are mainly for taking out king and queen and cc troops. Will also be bringing at least 3 lvl 5 heal spells.
As for requesting troops for defence, giants are the absolute worse troops to donate. Slow moving slow attacking can't hit air and it will be comical when u watch them chase hogs.

utube video 48 hogs destroyed TH 10. The cc troops couldn't catch them, the bombs couldn't explode fast enough and they just wiped out everything quick. I think they are awesome myself. My favorite. I'm sure the cost would be hard to keep up with if using all hogs, however I just love them for even additions to my other strategies.

crystal 2/1 or masters will get u the hog attacks. the way to defend? well multi atk inferno towers and wiz towers do well against hogs. map out ur base so that hogs will be less likely to go towards these def while they can still be targeted. it's tough, but don't give up.

Thx irmike !! I will make sure to start maxing out my wizard towers. I believe a few of us have had hog attacks since posting this. I did read somewhere that spreading your defenses out so that the hogs have to go in a bigger circle around your base is beneficial as well. Giving the defenses more time to do damage.
